At the time of the painting I realized that no museum in the nation was carrying a major piece featuring black cowboys. So I am very proud of it because it helps bringing back the real fact to history and teach our children how the West really was.”

The original painting was donated to the permanent collection of the Briscoe Museum in San Antonio, Texas.
